Group Community Guidelines
How to make the most of your time together.
By following these guidelines, we are building a safe and supportive community together. Everyone who is part of this community agrees to the following rules.
NO SELF-PROMOTION
Self-promotion is not permitted, except in the places provided for it or in places where it is expressly permitted.
Definition of self-promotion:
- Sale of products, services, courses, events and programs,
- Advertising your webinar, live broadcast or event,
- Publishing a link to your OWN website,
- Publishing a link to your OWN Facebook group,
- Publication of affiliate links,
- posting your own content in the group and not in a specific (and relevant) topic,
- posting photos with your design, URLs or your company name AND posting "free" offers or "freebies",
- posting links to surveys or creating surveys in the group or asking market research questions,
- posting full blog posts or posts that are the length of a blog post, even without a link.
We can break our own rules and promote something if we believe it is useful for the group. We reserve this right because it is our group and our community.
DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE
If you choose to engage with other members, you do so at your own discretion. Please do your research and use written contracts and agreements with clear expectations and terms. Marta is not responsible for adverse circumstances arising from relationships within our communities.
We do not own Discord or Facebook (FB). If the platform operators change their terms or start charging fees, we may move our group elsewhere. If the group policies are not followed, the Discord or Facebook group may also be closed.
Please remember that this community is about learning how to start your quilting journey in a relaxed manner, not about turning other members into customers. The purpose of our group is to connect with other members, share ideas, have fun, ask questions, and network.
Although I am the community manager, I am not here to monitor Facebook, but to support you and help you with your hobby. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
NO THIRD-PARTY ADVERTISING
Third-party advertising is not permitted unless it is a designated post or otherwise stated.
Definition of third-party advertising:
- sharing another person’s video,
- posting a link to another person.
DO NOT POST VIDEO
Do not create videos, post videos of yourself, or stream LIVE to the group.
NO REQUEST TO SEND DIRECT MESSAGES
Don't post in the group and ask people to PM you to learn more about what you're offering.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE GUIDELINES ARE NOT FOLLOWED?
I may delete your post without notice. If your post is deleted, it is likely that it is inappropriate within the meaning of my Terms and I have deleted it without notice.
For repeat violations, I may contact you and advise you that you have violated my Terms of Service. My legal counsel may contact you. I may remove you from the program and/or community without refund.
